Brilliant Financial Staffing has partnered with a growing marketing services organization in search of a Cash Applications Analyst. This is a fully remote, 6+ month contract opportunity supporting a finance transformation initiative following recent company growth. Reporting to the VP of Finance Transformation and the Accounts Receivable Manager, this role is ideal for an experienced cash applications professional who enjoys problem-solving, process improvements, and working in a collaborative environment. Cash Applications Analyst Duties:
- Accurately post high-volume daily cash receipts, including ACH, wire transfers, lockbox payments, credit cards, and checks
- Investigate and resolve unapplied, misapplied, and partially applied cash across multiple legacy entities
- Identify and code short payments, unauthorized deductions, and processing fees, routing issues to the appropriate departments for resolution
- Support monthly bank-to-ledger reconciliations to ensure cash postings accurately match bank activity
- Audit historical customer accounts and aging reports to resolve discrepancies between two ERP systems during integration
- Maintain organized digital records of daily cash batches and supporting documentation for audit and internal control purposes
- Partner with Credit, Collections, and General Accounting teams to resolve payment issues and improve cash application processes
- Recommend process improvements and contribute to enhancing overall cash application efficiency
Cash Applications Analyst Qualifications:
- 3+ years of high-volume Cash Applications experience
- Experience working with SAP-REQUIRED
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables-Highly Preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
