Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Mail Clerk with our client located in Springfield, IL. This is a well-established organization within the insurance industry. They are currently looking for a Mail Clerk to join their growing Claims Department on a 6+ month contract basis with potential for contract-to-hire. The Mail Clerk will primarily be responsible for sorting, scanning, indexing, and filing incoming claims mail, as well as preparing outgoing mail. This is a 100% onsite position, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. The client is looking to hire as soon as possible, so qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately!
Mail Clerk Responsibilities:
- Open and scan daily claims mail by program and state.
- Index mail, emails, and faxes.
- Prepare and meter outgoing mail, including sort, bulk, and special handling.
- Provide coverage for deliveries.
- Pick up and drop off mail within the Claims Department.
- Manage documents and recorded media and transfer media to the document management system.
- Prepare bulk mailings and notices to policyholders and agents.
- Manage mailing of manual letters for the adjusting team, which may include proof of service.
- Provide backup coverage for the Customer Care call queue.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Mail Clerk Qualifications:
- 1+ years of general business or office experience.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable and able to work with limited supervision.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to take direction and make decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
