Job Title: Electronics Materials Manager
Location: Waukegan, IL – Hybrid (2 Days in Office, 3 Days Remote)
Pay Range: $80K–$100K (Based on experience & qualifications)

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for an Electronics Materials Manager with our client located in Waukegan, IL. Our client is a well-established aerospace and electronics organization that develops advanced systems and components for the aviation industry. They are looking to add an experienced Materials Manager to their team on a permanent basis. This newly created position will lead a team of three and oversee procurement and materials management activities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Buyers, Planners, and Procurement Specialists.
- Oversee daily procurement and materials planning activities.
- Develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers while monitoring pricing, quality, and delivery.
- Plan material requirements and ensure availability to support production.
- Identify supply risks and develop mitigation strategies for critical components.
- Analyze BOMs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Issue RFQs and purchase orders and negotiate pricing and lead times.
- Maintain ERP/MRP parameters and monitor material status.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Operations on supplier and material issues.
- Manage component lifecycle, substitutions, and obsolescence risks.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of procurement experience.
- 5+ years of ERP/MRP experience.
- Previous people-management experience.
- Strong supplier management and sourcing background.
- Experience in a regulated industry preferred.
- Electronics/electrical component experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
