Job Title: Returns Specialist

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Returns Specialist for our client, a leading manufacturer of food, beverage, and specialty packaging products. This well-established organization supports customers across a variety of industries, including foodservice, restaurant delivery, food processing, grocery and retail, and industrial sectors. This Returns Specialist will join a small Accounts Receivable/Returns team and be hired on a temporary basis for approximately 2-3 months, with the potential for extension, to assist with a special project involving system integrations and increased return activity. This is a great opportunity to gain experience with a large, well-known organization. The ideal Returns Specialist candidate would be able to interview immediately and start as soon as possible.
Returns Specialist Responsibilities:
- Review and process product return requests involving damaged shipments, incorrect products, quantity discrepancies, and other order issues
- Assess return requests and prioritize items based on urgency, customer impact, and business needs
- Coordinate product returns, including arranging shipment of products back to the appropriate location
- Manage a high volume of return requests while maintaining an organized queue of open items
- Communicate with customers, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams to facilitate timely resolution of returns
- Ensure all required documentation and information is accurately captured for each return
- Track returns through completion and proactively follow up on outstanding items
- Escalate urgent or complex return issues to the appropriate internal teams
- Balance competing priorities and respond quickly to time-sensitive return requests
- Maintain accurate records of return activity, status, and resolution
- 2+ years of experience in returns, accounts receivable, customer service, order management, or a related area
- Experience working with high-volume transactions and time-sensitive requests
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple open items
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills when working with customers, carriers, and internal teams
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation
- Experience with SAP, PROS, GetPaid, or similar ERP/financial systems preferred
- Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills; comfortable working with established templates
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while effectively collaborating with a team
