Job Title: Permit Coordinator x2
Location: 100% Remote (Would be working CST hours)
Salary Range: $26-$30/hr (Potential flex if needed)

Role Summary
- The Permit Coordinator manages the end?to?end permitting cycle for telecommunications construction and deployment projects—covering right?of?way (ROW), DOT, municipal and utility approvals.
- This role ensures that submissions are complete, compliant, and timely; maintains transparent communication with agencies and internal project teams; and proactively resolves issues that could impact schedule, cost, or compliance.
- Prepare Complete Permit Packages: Assemble applications, drawings, traffic control plans, restoration details and supporting documents based on engineering design inputs and jurisdictional standards.
- Submit & Track Applications: File permits via online portals or in person; monitor milestones, fees, and expiry/renewal dates; maintain an auditable permit log.
- Agency & Utility Coordination: Serve as primary liaison to city/county/state agencies, DOTs, railroads, pole owners, and utilities; schedule inspections; address RFIs and corrections.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Verify adherence to zoning, environmental, and ROW requirements (including HOP or state equivalents); ensure construction plans match submitted scope.
- Status Reporting & Communication: Provide clear, regular updates to project managers, engineers, construction partners, and clients; escalate risks and roadblocks early.
- Recordkeeping & Financials: Track and reconcile permit fees, bonds, and invoices; support month?end reporting and closeout documentation.
- Continuous Improvement Capture lessons learned; monitor regulatory changes; recommend process and template updates that reduce cycle time and rework.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Public Administration or related field.
- Experience: 2+ years in permitting, construction, utilities, or telecom; familiarity with ROW/DOT processes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and permitting portals.
- Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings (PDF/Bluebeam; basic AutoCAD Civil viewing is a plus).
- Experience with GIS tools (e.g., QGIS/ArcGIS) and permit tracking platforms (e.g., Smartsheet, SiteTracker).
