Job Title: Lead OSP Engineer (x6)
Location: 100% Remote (CST hours)
Salary Range: $31-$36/hr (Potential flex if needed)

Position Summary
- The Lead OSP Engineer is responsible for providing technical leadership and project oversight for Outside Plant (OSP) engineering initiatives within the telecommunications industry.
- This role ensures compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives while managing full projects or significant subsections.
- The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Technical Leadership
- Serve as the primary technical authority for OSP design and construction standards.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, ensuring compliance with NEC, NESC, and local codes.
- Oversee route evaluations, permitting, and constructability assessments.
- Project Management
- Lead engineering efforts for entire projects or designated subsections.
- Manage timelines, budgets, and quality metrics to ensure successful delivery.
- Coordinate with project managers, permitting agencies, and field teams to resolve technical issues.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the liaison between engineering teams, clients, and municipalities.
- Support proposal development, RFP responses, and strategic planning for new projects.
- Team Leadership
- Mentor and supervise engineers, designers, and GIS specialists.
- Promote process improvements and implement automation initiatives.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Civil, or Electrical Engineering. - Experience:
Minimum 7+ years in OSP engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. - Skills:
- Expertise in fiber optic and copper network design.
- Proficiency in GIS and CAD tools (ArcGIS Pro, AutoCAD, Other Spatial Platforms).
- Strong project management and stakeholder communication skills.
- Knowledge of permitting processes and regulatory compliance.
- Deliver high-quality engineering outputs within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Maintain compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration for successful project execution.
- Contribute to business growth through engineering excellence.
