Role Overview:
Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in an exclusive search for a Property Insurance Claims Negotiator to join a growing mitigation, restoration, and environmental services company located in Bogart, Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced insurance claims professional who enjoys negotiation, problem-solving, and working directly with insurance adjusters to secure appropriate reimbursement for services provided. The company is building out its team and offers a collaborative work environment, with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a dedicated pipeline of water mitigation and property restoration insurance claims from initial submission through final settlement
- Negotiate directly with insurance adjusters, claim examiners, and third-party administrators to secure full and fair reimbursement
- Review disputed invoices, insurance carrier responses, and adjusters’ scopes of work to identify discrepancies and opportunities for additional reimbursement
- Prepare professional, evidence-based responses to challenge underpayments and disputed line-item charges
- Collaborate with the invoicing team to gather and review technical documentation, field logs, photographs, and supporting evidence
- Reference company procedures, insurance carrier guidelines, and industry standards to support billing accuracy and negotiation efforts
- Maintain consistent communication with insurance representatives through phone calls and professional email correspondence
- Track claim progress and settlement outcomes while maintaining accurate documentation
- Meet or exceed performance metrics related to settlement turnaround times, collection percentages, and average claim values
- Work closely with the Collections Manager and internal teams to resolve outstanding claim disputes and maximize reimbursement
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience negotiating property insurance claims within the restoration or water mitigation industry
- Experience working directly with insurance adjusters to dispute underpayments, defend line-item billing, and negotiate claim settlements
- Strong understanding of property insurance claims processes, carrier guidelines, and building or water mitigation standards
- Proven negotiation skills with the ability to confidently defend billing decisions and resolve disputes professionally
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable managing a high volume of phone calls, emails, and ongoing claim negotiations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously while meeting deadlines and performance goals
- An active Property & Casualty adjuster license is highly preferred but not required
- Familiarity with Xactimate estimates, restoration industry billing practices, or mitigation documentation is a plus
- Experience with restoration companies, public adjusting firms, third-party administrators, or insurance carriers is preferred
