Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for a Treasury Agent with our client located in Itasca, IL. Our client is one of the largest transportations/logistic organizations in the country and currently they are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Treasury Agent. This Treasury Agent would be hired on an open ended contract basis for a minimum duration of 4-6 months. This role is heavily focused on managing the client’s SharePoint credit payment request board, where you will process time-sensitive credit card payments, vendor invoices, and related transactions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is confident collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors to ensure accurate, timely processing. This role is an immediate need so the ideal candidate would be ready and available to start ASAP!
Treasury Agent Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage the SharePoint credit request board, ensuring all payment requests are reviewed and processed within 15 minutes of appearing.
- Process payments using a variety of various platforms
- Enter vendor invoices and credit notes into the accounting system while ensuring proper approvals and documentation.
- Verify station payment requests by reviewing shipment files, accruals, and vendor invoices before processing.
- Post and apply payments in the accounting system; save confirmations to shipment files for audit and tracking purposes.
- Assist with reconciliation of accounts.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor queries promptly.
- Validate vendor bank details for both domestic and international suppliers using bank portal services or direct verbal confirmation
- Upload Positive Pay SQL files daily and support check stop-payment requests.
- Support treasury group email inbox, routing and actioning requests as appropriate.
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, accounts payable, or related function.
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures.
- Experience working in high-volume environments with strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
