Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review and distribute monthly financial reports for the transportation, warehousing, or procurement divisions.
- Determines cost of operations by establishing standard costs; collecting operational data.
- Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plan and forecast.
- Guides cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures; providing trends; explaining processes and techniques; recommending actions.
- Recommends actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and monetizing opportunities.
- Responsible for month-end, quarter-end and year-end close for assigned functional areas.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and potential assignment to special studies/teams to assist management in evaluating key opportunities for the company.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned by Manager
- Excel: Must be comfortable creating and maneuvering through V-lookups and Pivot Tables (need to explain how they've used them in their past roles) -
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- SAP is highly preferred (or able to pick it up quickly)
- Must have strong communication skills and attention to detail
