Job Title: Staff Accountant (Expensify Expenses)
Location: Remote
Pay Range: $35/HR-$37/HR

Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged on the search for a Staff Accountant to join our client, a growing hospitality technology company, on a contract basis. The Staff Accountant will initially focus on reviewing and approving expenses through Expensify, ensuring expenses are properly processed, and keeping the workflow moving. Once caught up on the expense-related responsibilities, this individual will assist with account reconciliations, cleanup projects, and other general accounting duties. Expensify experience is preferred, but candidates with general expense processing or accounts payable experience will also be considered. The ideal Staff Accountant will be available to interview and start ASAP!
Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Reviewing and approving employee expenses through Expensify
- Ensuring expenses are properly reviewed, coded, and processe
- Managing the day-to-day expense approval workflow and keeping items moving
- Following up on outstanding or incomplete expense submissions
- Ensuring expense-related information is accurate and properly documented
- Assisting with accounts payable and other expense-related accounting functions
- Preparing account reconciliations as needed
- Assisting with accounting cleanup projects
- Supporting additional general accounting projects based on business needs
- Assisting the accounting team during the company’s transition from NetSuite to Sage
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Experience with expense processing, accounts payable, or general accounting
- Expensify experience is highly preferred
- Experience with NetSuite and/or Sage is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
- Ability to quickly learn new accounting systems and processes
