Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Location: Palatine, IL
Pay Range: $19-22/hour
Role Overview:
The Customer Service Representative serves as the primary point of contact for customers, carriers, and internal teams, providing exceptional service through phone, email, and live chat. This role is responsible for handling shipment inquiries, scheduling, issue resolution, and customer support while ensuring a positive customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, live chat, and support tickets regarding shipment status, delivery scheduling, claims, and service-related issues
- Monitor and manage delivery and pickup appointments to ensure timely and accurate scheduling
- Investigate and resolve shipment issues by coordinating with customers, carriers, vendors, and internal departments
- Handle a high volume of inbound customer interactions while maintaining accuracy and service quality
- Resolve customer concerns and disputes efficiently, escalating issues when appropriate
- Maintain consistent communication regarding shipment updates, service delays, and issue resolution
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations
Qualifications:
- GED required
- Previous experience in customer service, logistics, transportation, or a related support role
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
