Job Title: Kubernetes Engineer
Location: Remote
Pay Rate: $65/hr - $75/hr
We are looking for a Kubernetes Engineer to play a key role in designing and implementing solutions that streamline Kubernetes management and related workflows. This role will own the shared Kubernetes platform, guide the strategic direction for the Kubernetes infrastructure, and support related initiatives. Collaborating across teams, you’ll translate business needs into actionable automation strategies that optimize performance and reduce manual effort while maintaining platform documentation and tooling.
What You’ll Do:

Design, implement, and maintain solutions that streamline Kubernetes management and workflows.

Lead automation and infrastructure efforts, including CI/CD pipelines and tool integrations (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).

Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess application feasibility, and identify improvements.

Provide technical guidance on system design with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Implement and refine automation tools to ensure seamless, reliable operations.

Monitor system reliability using observability tools, proactively addressing issues before they escalate.

Troubleshoot complex Kubernetes and application challenges while maintaining high-quality standards.

Drive container orchestration initiatives that modernize and future-proof infrastructure.

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You:

Have strong Linux expertise (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) combined with proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.

Are experienced in managing CI/CD pipelines and comfortable scripting in languages like Python, Bash, or Go.

Understand monitoring and observability tools and their role in ensuring system reliability.

Communicate technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.

Are eager to learn and adopt the latest automation technologies and industry best practices.
Bonus Points:

Linux certifications such as RHCE or LFCS.

Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD).

Experience with additional scripting languages including PowerShell.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira.

Knowledge of networking concepts and network automation.
-
Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in tech communities.

Understanding of security best practices related to automation and infrastructure.
