Job Title: Sr. Data Analyst

Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Systems Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and understanding data related to system behaviors, performance, and optimization opportunities. You will dive into complex system logs, trace performance metrics, and identify patterns or anomalies to enhance the efficiency and reliability of our systems. This role requires a strong technical background, a keen understanding of system interactions, and the ability to translate technical findings into actionable insights for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop a comprehensive understanding of system interactions, behaviors, and performance metrics.

Utilize advanced SQL, scripting languages (e.g., Python), and visualization tools to extract, retrieve, analyze, and present system-related data.

Investigate and resolve system performance anomalies, identifying root causes and optimization opportunities.

Document system data flows, interactions, and findings in knowledge repositories.

Collaborate with DevOps, IT, and engineering teams to identify system improvement opportunities.

Monitor and evaluate system performance against established benchmarks, proposing enhancements.

Ensure system data adheres to governance and compliance standards.

Build and maintain dashboards and reports that highlight system behaviors, performance metrics, and optimization opportunities.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:

Proficiency in SQL and data querying tools.

Strong understanding of system logs, metrics, and monitoring platforms (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, New Relic).

Experience with data visualization platforms such as Tableau or Power BI.

Knowledge of ETL processes and familiarity with tools like Talend, Informatica, or SSIS.

Familiarity with system database platforms like Snowflake, SQL Server, or Oracle.

Experience analyzing large datasets to derive insights into system performance and behavior.

Ability to effectively communicate technical findings to both technical and business audiences.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, R) for system data analysis and automation.

Familiarity with system optimization methodologies and tools.

Understanding of compliance and governance frameworks relevant to system data (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and system monitoring best practices.
