Job Title: Controller
Position Overview:
We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of our organization. This individual will be responsible for managing all accounting activities, ensuring financial records are accurate and in compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in cash flow forecasting, handling multi-currency accounts, and managing line of credit arrangements. This role requires strong knowledge in accrual-based accounting, along with the development and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Familiarity with QuickBooks Online is an advantage.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Cash Flow Management: Create and oversee cash flow forecasts to guarantee the company’s liquidity for ongoing operations, capital needs, and expansion plans.
- Multi-Currency Transactions: Supervise accounting functions for multi-currency transactions, ensuring accurate exchange rate conversions and reporting for global operations.
- Line of Credit Oversight: Manage the company’s line of credit, including drawing, repaying, and ensuring adherence to the terms and conditions.
- Accrual-Based Accounting: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes using accrual accounting principles, ensuring accurate revenue and expense allocation.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports to both internal management and external stakeholders.
- Internal Controls & SOP Development: Design and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting and finance functions, ensuring compliance with best practices and robust internal controls.
- Audit & Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with external auditors and ensure the organization is fully compliant with all regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring adherence to company policies and the highest standards of accuracy and efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Recommend and implement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and scalability, including integrating new systems or software solutions.
- QuickBooks Online Management: Oversee the company’s QuickBooks Online system for day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial recordkeeping.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or similar certification is preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of accrual-based accounting principles.
- Proven track record in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within an accounting context.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online or equivalent accounting software, with the ability to optimize its use for organizational accounting needs.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights to senior leadership.
- Must be able and willing to work from the company office in, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Salary Range: $150,000-$175,000
