Our client in Broward County is looking for an experienced Controller to oversee key aspects of the general accounting function, including journal entries, financial reporting, and account reconciliations. The Senior Manager will supervise Staff Accountant and Accounting Coordinator positions while driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee general accounting, including detailed accounting entries for payables, sales reserves, and account reconciliations.
- Supervise and develop Staff Accountant and Accounting Coordinator positions.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Assist department leaders with expense management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Oversee, prepare, and file tax returns and business license requirements.
- Conduct financial presentations to communicate policies and procedures internally.
- Coordinate and prepare annual operating budgets, analyzing past and present trends to make recommendations.
- Develop tools to measure and improve the effectiveness of rebate processing.
- Lead special projects as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a similar accounting leadership role.
