Accounts Payable and Receivable Manager

Accounts Payable (AP) Management:
- Oversee AP operations, including vendor relations, disbursements, 1099 filing, and tax-related matters.
- Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and project accounting to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Develop, implement, and maintain AP systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
- Oversee monthly financial record closing and ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
- Act as a liaison between the company, government, and external accountants to maintain proper historical records.

Accounts Receivable (AR) Management:
- Supervise billing, collections, and cash application processes.
- Manage outstanding invoices and direct customer interactions for collections and dispute resolution.
- Provide timely and accurate payment and account standing information to support management decisions.
- Monitor and report on credit deviations, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
- Develop and recommend improvements to invoicing and collection procedures.

Team Leadership:
- Select, train, and evaluate staff within both AP and AR teams, addressing performance issues and making recommendations for personnel actions.
- Prepare and recommend operating and personnel budgets; monitor spending and recommend variances as necessary.
- Foster a collaborative environment, motivating and rewarding employees in line with company guidelines.

Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare weekly and special reports on invoicing totals, aging totals, cash receipts, and invoice adjustments.
- Provide accounting assistance to project managers and operations staff, addressing financial questions and concerns.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable and leading a team
- Proficiency with large ERP systems and general accounting principles.
- Strong experience with MS Office and business solutions software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, upper management, and team members.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and manage shifting priorities with minimal direction.
Salary Range: $80,000 - 90,000 per year
