Our client, a global manufacturer of diesel and gasoline engines is seeking a Information Technology Manager to join their organization on a hybrid/remote, direct hire basis. The Information Technology Manager will be responsible for the creation and execution of 1-5-year strategic IT plan and the development of the IT Staff.
Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with all departments to define objectives and processes to support the business strategy
- Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments
- Evaluate the business needs, objectives, and goals. Research products available and designate procedures to best meet those needs utilizing knowledge of theory, principles, or technology
- Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on computers, databases, and during data transfer in accordance to business needs and industry best-practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
- Evaluate and contract outside consultants for correcting and enhancing systems; maintains vendor contracts both inter-company (i.e., KBT G-IT for Cloud Gate email, SAP Japan) and externally
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends, technical developments, and other related activity that effect current and future needs
- Develop, track, and control the information technology annual operating and capital budgets
- Be responsible for staffing, planning, assigning, directing work, conducting performance appraisals, addressing employee complaints, and resolving employee problems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
- 7+ years direct management of diverse technology teams with demonstrated responsibility for all aspects of information technology and communications
- Broad knowledge of data processing systems, concepts, and methodologies
- Hands on experience with both traditional IT (email, networks, file systems, etc) and non-traditional IT and communications (smart phones, SaaS, wireless cards, video conferencing, outsourcing, etc)
- Advance knowledge of SAP, Windows NT, and Windows operating systems
- Administrative knowledge of SAP, MS Server, and MS Active Directory
- Relevant experience of S/4 HANA Implementation
- Ability to travel, possibly overnight, often with last minute notice; travel internationally
