Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for an Accounting Clerk with our client located in Chicago, IL. Our client is a well-established organization in the professional services industry who provides legal services for their clients. They recently have experienced a lot of growth and are looking to add an Accounting Clerk to assist them in the interim and support the overall accounting department. The Accounting Clerk would be primarily responsible for working with multiple project teams and handling the accounting tasks. This Accounting Clerk will be hired on an open-ended temporary basis and ideally be available to start ASAP.
Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:
- Handling all vendor invoices
- Initiate ACH payments/Sending wires
- Making sure everything is accurate with each invoice
- Running daily AR reports
- Working with Sales team / Applying payments
- Managing all bills
- Email and some phone calls for collections (Sales reps do a lot of the phone calls)
- Sending statements
- Going through aging reports
- Setting up vendor bills and paying them in NetSuite.
- Running daily collection activity reports from bank/applying payments to invoices in NetSuite.
- Possible reaching out to customer for collection inquiries.
- Various other transactional tasks.
Accounting Clerk Qualifications:
- Systems/ERP/GL: NetSuite, can train
- Excel: Intermediate level (Manipulate formulas)
- Highly organized
- Manage a calendar of payments that are due
- Being able to follow direction/ Some bills are very time sensitive
