Brilliant Financial Staffing has been engaged in a search for an Accounts Receivable Specialist for our client located in Chicago, IL. Our client is an outstanding manufacturing company and they are looking to add an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to their Accounting team. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be brought on a contract-to-hire basis! This role is a hybrid opportunity so they need an Accounts Receivable Specialist that can hit the ground running and be reliable. The ideal candidate would be able to do a video interview and then start shortly after.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities:
- Manage the tracking, research, and resolution for customer deductions including submitting disputes online, via customer portals, and email.
- Review all shortages for possible freight carrier responsibility. Initiate freight claims. Process and submit the freight claim to the carrier.
- Perform deduction resolution analysis by reviewing rebate and allowance accrual workpapers.
- Complete chargeback forms and obtain the required backup to resolve deduction.
- Manage the processing of customer returns and credits including quarterly rebate credits.
- Create credit memo requests and manage the tracking and reporting of credit memos.
- Generate monthly credit memo reports, including error log report, and Non-compliance report.
- Assist with the application of cash receipts as needed. This includes reviewing daily cash receipts and applying the payment in JD Edwards.
- Application of credit memos against related records in JD Edwards.
- New customer research. Prepare and circulate credit reference request forms.
- Communicate with third-party claims administrator on processing of all claims, assure all claims processed are reflected on tracking sheet and corresponding credits are issued to customers.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Qualifications:
- Manufacturing industry experience would be a plus
- Experience with JD Edwards preferred
- Intermediate Excel skills
- 2+ years of accounts receivable, rebate, or deduction processing experience
- Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
